AuthbaseVerification Services

ADDITIONAL VERIFICATION & TRUSTED CLAIMS

Verify More Than Identity.

Different applications require different levels of assurance.

While foundational identity verification establishes an individual's identity, additional verification services can help establish specific facts or support screening requirements relevant to a particular application.

Authbase is designed to accommodate these different requirements without forcing every user through the same verification process.

APPLICATION-SPECIFIC ASSURANCE

Additional Assurance Based on the Use Case.

Not every connected application needs the same information.

A membership service may need to confirm age eligibility. A marketplace may require supporting evidence of a residential address. A financial-services application may require additional identity checks or compliance-related screening.

Authbase separates these requirements into distinct verification capabilities so applications can request the checks appropriate to their use case.

VERIFICATION SERVICES

Verification Capabilities

Derived Identity Claim

Age Eligibility

Confirm whether a verified individual satisfies an age requirement, such as being over 18 or over 21.

Where supported, age eligibility can be derived from verified date-of-birth information without disclosing the individual's full date of birth to the receiving application.

Address Verification

Proof of Address

Establish supporting evidence connecting an individual to a claimed residential address using an appropriate verification method.

The strength of an address claim depends on the supporting evidence, document-authenticity assessment, and other corroboration performed.

A successful comparison between submitted information and an uploaded document does not, by itself, establish that the document is genuine.

Identity Attribute Verification

Citizenship Verification

Establish an individual's citizenship in a specified country using appropriate supporting evidence and verification methods.

Citizenship should not be assumed solely from a successful identity verification or the presentation of a government-issued identity document.

Compliance-Related Screening

AML Screening

Support compliance-related screening requirements such as sanctions and politically exposed person checks.

Screening results reflect the relevant sources, screening scope, review outcome, and time of the check.

Because screening information can change, these results may require periodic refresh or ongoing monitoring depending on the application.

Application-Specific Identity Checks

Additional Identity Corroboration

Some applications, particularly in U.S. financial services, may require additional identity corroboration, including checks involving Social Security Numbers or other identity-matching information.

These requirements are evaluated based on the application and the level of identity assurance it needs.

TRUSTED CLAIMS & DISCLOSURE

Verify a Claim. Share the Appropriate Result.

When a verified claim is established, it can be associated with the individual's Authbase identity.

Participating applications may be authorized to receive the corresponding result while the claim remains valid and satisfies their requirements.

The underlying evidence does not need to be automatically disclosed to every application requesting the claim.

  • Independent Verification

Different claims can require different supporting evidence and verification methods.

  • Claim Validity

Claims may have independent validity periods, freshness requirements, or conditions requiring renewed verification.

  • Controlled Disclosure

Applications receive the appropriate verification result or explicitly authorized information according to the applicable integration and permissions.

TAILORED VERIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The Right Verification for the Right Application.

Verification requirements depend on the nature of the application, the information being established, and the level of assurance needed.

Authbase works with prospective integration partners to evaluate which identity checks, claims, and screening capabilities are appropriate for their intended use cases.

EXPANDING IDENTITY ASSURANCE

Extending Verification to Businesses.

Beyond individual identity verification, Authbase's platform direction includes Know Your Business (KYB) capabilities to help connected applications establish confidence in organizations and the individuals authorized to represent them.

This may support business onboarding, merchant verification, financial-services relationships, and other interactions where organizational identity and authority matter.
